Centre for Advanced Protein Studies [CAPS] is a state-of-the-art advanced national facility located in the Syngene campus, Bangalore. Established with funding from BIRAC-DBT, CAPS is part of the National Biopharma Mission program to advance product development in India. National Biopharma Mission aims to enable and nurture India’s technological and product development capabilities in biopharmaceuticals to be globally competitive over the next decade and transform the health standards of India’s population through affordable product development.
CAPS is a unique partnership between Government of India and Syngene International Ltd. to provide technical and regulatory guidance to Indian start-up companies, academic labs and Indian biopharma companies.
CAPS laboratory spans over 2000 sq. Ft and is located in the S1 building on the Syngene campus. It offers the unique advantage of providing both end-to-end as well as modular analytical characterization services for both development and regulatory projects. Offering subsidized pricing to all start-ups and MSMEs, CAPs makes available a diverse range of analytical modules, including method familiarization, method development, sample analysis and method qualification studies at par with global standards. It also provides advanced analytical equipment and a GLP environment for performing in-depth protein characterization and Bioassay studies. The experienced scientists at CAPS provide technical guidance and timely delivery of analytical solutions, all the way from early project inception to completion.
